National Consumer Research Centre
The National Consumer Research Centre was established in 1990 and operates under the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. Its director is Päivi Timonen.Through research, the Centre influences decision-making and development in society and ultimately, the lives of consumers. Its objective is to be an academically esteemed entity whose know-how is in high demand.
The core tasks of the National Consumer Research Centre are the production of new research information and communication of the results of domestic consumer (KULTU database). In addition, the Research Centre participates in the education of researchers and promotes the activities of research networks, as well as national and international cooperation in the field.

The operational plan for 2013 is based on 41 person-years of labour.
